The Heritage Festival 2025 is a week-long celebration filled with history, culture, and community spirit. This year’s event is extra special, featuring the grand re-opening of the Chinese Temple, newly restored with stunning design and innovative signage. We’re honoured to welcome Chinese Consul General Dr Ruan Zongze, whose presence adds a distinguished touch to this historic occasion.

Festival Highlights:
Grand Opening Ceremony & Parade – Kick off the festivities with a colourful street parade leading to the official re-opening of the Chinese Temple.
Traditional Performances – Be captivated by dragon and lion dances presented by the Cairns and District Chinese Association Inc., showcasing ancient Chinese artistry and storytelling.
Oriental Outback Dinner – Delight in a unique dining experience under the stars, featuring live music by Dusty Haven.
Sunset N Sip – Relax with breathtaking views and a glass of your favourite drink at the lookout.
Star Gazing – Discover the wonders of the night sky and explore the meanings behind the Chinese horoscope.
Rodeo & Campdraft – Feel the thrill of a classic Outback tradition, with three days of action-packed entertainment.
Yarning Circle & Sausage Sizzle – Gather around the campfire for storytelling, laughter, and delicious food.
